Project Description
The Hornet Bookstore and Offices is located on the beautiful California State University, Sacramento campus. The three-story, 93,170 square foot building sits on a concrete foundations bearing on drilled piers, with slab-on-grade and buckle-restrained brace-framed steel construction. The exterior of the building is functional while adding to the charm of the campus with precast concrete panels containing insulated metal panels and architectural glass. The building contains a retail space, coffee shop, a copy center, customer service, loading dock, warehouse, computer storage space, and Administrative offices. Schetter Electric provided and installed the electrical installation adding to the unique building space with features like drop ceilings, spotlights, and ambient natural lighting.
